Solar Street Lights
Photo voltaic panels convert the solar energy into electrical energy with the help of the semiconductor material of the device. The received electrical energy is stored in rechargeable batteries and the charge is used to light up fluorescent or LED bulbs at night. A pollution free source of electricity, the operation costs of solar street lights are not so high. With no external wires, the risk of accidents is minimized. The parts of the system are portable and can be carried along and need very less maintenance.
